In response to the rapidly growing population of the Santa Maria Valley and ongoing advances in medical technology, Marian Medical Center is building a new hospital. This will enhance even further the quality care provided by Marian and enable us to meet the health care needs of the community now and in the future.

This new modern hospital will include 188 private rooms, a new Newborn Intensive Care Nursery, new programs and services, the latest technology and unique patient comfort features.

When the new hospital opens in 2011, it will be a four-story, full service, acute-care facility with all private rooms.
Marian Medical Center
• The Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity are the religious sponsors of Marian Medical Center and first opened the hospital in 1940 under the name Our Lady of Perpetual Help Hospital.
• Marian Medical Center is a member of Catholic Healthcare West (CHW), a system of 42 not-for-profit hospitals in California, Arizona and Nevada.

• The hospital’s mission-style exterior will compliment neighboring areas, following the City of Santa Maria architectural theme. Its non-institutional interior will focus on appealing to the senses of patients, employees and visitors through the use of light, color and elements of nature.
